Pro Tech Monitoring has the background and experience derived from being the first company to integrate multiple technologies including RF, GPS and cellular communications into a proven, comprehensive offender tracking solution.

Beginning in 1995, Pro Tech began developing the hardware and software technology, under the supervision and direction of Vice Presidents Chris Defant and David Segal that resulted in the SMART^® System (Satellite Monitoring and Remote Tracking). No company in the world can match the GPS tracking experience of the Pro Tech Engineering Development team, which has been working continuously together for 15 years, to advance the technology and the capabilities of the SMART^® System.

While we have a variety of hardware and software products that make up the SMART^® System, collectively they are known as SMART^® Ware. Because the SMART^® Ware System is developed by in-house Pro Tech Engineers (unlike other companies who utilize third parties to design and support the technology), we understand the technology and its limitations, and can offer system performance and responsive support that is unequalled by any other company in the World.

Pro Tech's primary office is located in Odessa, Florida in our state of the art, 28,000 square foot facility that is solely occupied by Pro Tech. The facility houses all of Pro Tech's operations necessary to support our 200+ contracts and is capable of simultaneously tracking and monitoring more than 100,000 offenders. The research/development and engineering teams ultimately responsible for the hardware and software are located in this facility, as well. The ability to design, engineer, manufacture and support our products under one roof is a unique capability that is unequalled by any other supplier in the industry.
